There is an exciting new development at BMI The Beaumont Hospital known as the BOSS Group.
Bolton Orthopaedic and Sports Surgery is a group of 10 local Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons, who have joined forces in order to offer a comprehensive service for patients with bone, joint and sports injury problems.
BOSS is able to offer prompt, expert assessment and planned treatment for all orthopaedic conditions from the elite sportsmen, to “weekend warriors” as well as “wear and tear” problems.
BOSS works closely with the specialist departments at the Beaumont Hospital including the Radiology Department, which offers a complete range of imaging services and the Physiotherapy Department in order to come to a diagnosis and begin rehabilitation. A full range of orthopaedic treatment is offered including keyhole surgery (arthroscopy) for the hip, knee and shoulder and modern methods of joint replacement including hip resurfacing.
The philosophy of BOSS is to minimise the loss of function to allow an early return to activity. Initial consultations will require a GP, Physiotherapist or Podiatrist referral and will cost £150.00.
