Mr Alistair Henderson

Mr Alistair Henderson was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Royal Bolton Hospital in 1993.

His practice is surgery of the lower limb and has a Specialist Interest in all aspects of Foot and Ankle Surgery ranging from

   - Corrective surgery for bunions and hammer toes
   - Major hind foot reconstructions
   - Ankle replacements
   - Ankle arthroscopy
   - Calcaneal fracture reconstruction

His undergraduate medical training was at St.Andrews and Manchester (1990), and orthopaedic training in the
North West Deanery. During this time, he was awarded
an MD (1989), as the MRC Research Fellow.

As Senior Registrar, he undertook Fellowships in Switzerland and Seattle, in order to study with world experts.

He is an active member of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society as a member of its Scientific Committee from 2004 -2006 and  Honorary Secretary from 2006 - 2009.

He continues to be an Examiner for the F.R.C.S.Orth.
